Tech/Knowledge, Inc., founded in 1984, is a management consulting and information systems engineering firm specializing in radio and data communications, Information Technology (IT), service delivery and worldwide network planning. The company provides objective and impartial advice and implementation assistance to both the public and private sectors. Tech/Knowledge has offices in San Rafael, Sacramento and San Diego in addition to its headquarters in Santa Fe Springs, California.

Firm Organization

Our firm is staffed with professional consultants and engineers who have extensive experience in many technical and industry areas, including voice and data communications, information systems and service delivery. Many of our staff have advanced degrees in business administration, engineering, and computer science.

Before undertaking an engagement, we meet with client executives to discuss a plan for carrying out the work. We agree on the objectives and the engagement's scope, the approach to be taken as well as the results and benefits to be achieved. Our team schedules the various project tasks and defines the role of client personnel in different phases of the work. We perform a review of the estimated costs of the project and consider alternative ways of completing the work most efficiently.

Because client participation is so important to the success of any consulting engagement, our team works closely with client personnel in all project phases. Through this approach, client personnel contribute their knowledge and ideas, become receptive to required changes, and receive training in the techniques involved. As a result, clients can carry on the programs in an effective manner once Tech/Knowledge has completed its work. This approach allows us to use our experience to our clients' best advantage by providing know-how rather than head count, which ultimately helps keep professional fees within budgetary guidelines.
