Everyone expects their cell calls to never drop, especially in new buildings. A Cellular Bi-Directional Amplifier (BDA) reinforces coverage by re-broadcasting coverage throughout a building or campus, reducing or eliminating dropped calls from the basement to the penthouse. Our company has extensive experience in design and installation of Cellular BDAs in new and existing buildings and campuses.

Amenity to necessity: Cellular reinforcement isn’t a legal requirement for most cities—but it’s an expected amenity for most tenants—to continue their calls while parking, in the elevator, or the gym. In a competitive leasing market, an amenity like cellular coverage can increase rent yield and occupancy.

Larger projects: For very large projects, such as stadiums, transit stations, indoor water parks, etc., a neutral DAS or Distributed Antenna System reinforces all coverage throughout a campus. As the name implies, it carries many different radio bands and types. Result: Good coverage everywhere, future proof system.

How it works: A cellular BDA reinforces both incoming (From carriers) and outgoing (From phones) conversations, reducing or eliminating dead spots and dropped coverage. This is all automatic—no changes required to phone settings: It Just Works. The BDA uses one or more donor antennas to receive coverage from cell towers, which is then amplified and distributed via antennas throughout the building to people’s phones. This same antenna network receives signals from phones, through the same (Bidirectional) amplifier, then through the donor antennas, back to the carriers. Result: A competitive advantage for your buildings.
